On Top of the World

So, this is probably a shocker for most people who know my work. This is rather different than my usual style--lots of ink and rather messy looking. I was quite proud of the lineart and spent WHO KNOWS how much time on the background (the details in the rocks were killer....) I was SO ready to color it and make it my BEST work yet!

But alas, I'm a dumbass and scanned it in at 150 res, not 300. That was only my first mistake of many. I messed up on so many things...the colors, the shading is absolutely horrific and ultimately it looks like shit. I kept messing it up and restarting it. Ugh, I know I made it into the double digits as far as restarting and back tracking because of stupid layer mistakes and things just looking terrible. This has taken me DAYS people, DAYS. I'd better start getting used to it though, right? An artist can't stop because it takes a few measly days--at any rate, sadly, I gave up and I leave you with this.

Perhaps someday I'll come back in and try to make something good...but ultimately these hours and grief (verge of tears at times) spent on this piece didn't come out to anything worthy in my opinion. Ugh....it pisses me of just looking at it.

(I didn't put it under mature content because she doesn't really show anything--her chest is covered in fur anyway. But if any of you thinks I should change it, lemme know! Don't wanna get banned for this piece of crap--I'd at least wanna get banned for something juicy )
